Electrical Transmission Systems Technology (Online)
The National Energy Center of Excellence(NECE) is proud to offer the online Electrical Transmission Systems Technology (ETST) program. The ETST program was created in response to industry demand for qualified system operators.
This program is designed to teach students about the electrical power system in North America, including basic electricity, generation, distribution, and transmission, with a strong emphasis on system operations. System operations is the aspect of the energy industry that deals with the management, delivery, safety, and reliability of the wholesale electrical power market.
The program is approved to offer NERC CEHs combined with college credit for those who wish to maintain certification requirements and work towards a college degree.
Students have the following options:
• Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Electrical Transmission Systems Technology • Program Certificate in Electrical Transmission Systems Technology • Electrical Transmission Systems Courses • College Courses for Professional Development • CEH-only Courses for NERC Certification
Access to course work will be available 24/7 over the Internet, making participation flexible for shift workers already in the industry.
BSC (BSC_001) is recognized by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) as a continuing education provider who adheres to NERC CE Program Criteria. Students may earn college credits and receive NERC CEHs at the same time.
The NECE is proud to include the fully-accredited ETST program along with other online course offerings. BSC has been offering customized programs for the electrical industry for over 40 years and offers a wide range of services to meet your needs.
Enrollment: Courses begin every 3-5 weeks throughout the year. Refer to the New Students page on this website for information on how to apply for admission, placement requirements and instructions on how to complete your admission file.
