Bismarck State College offers an instructor-led, online Electric Power Technology (ELPW) program developed in collaboration with the Energy Providers Coalition for Education (EPCE). This program is designed for current and future electric utility workers.
This industry-driven online program addresses critical employment needs in the electric utilities work force. The ELPW program provides students with a core set of skills and competencies and a broad knowledge of the industry. After completion of the core courses, students choose a specialization area to pursue. Areas of choice include Line Construction, Metering, Substation, System Design. Students have the following options:
• Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Electric Power Technology • Program Certificate in Electric Power Technology • Electric Power Technology Courses (college courses for professional development)
Developed in collaboration with EPCE electrical utility industry partners, BSC's Electric Power Technology program is designed to help address the aging workforce and based on industry guidelines, with a direct link to electrical utility fundamentals training.

BSC has been offering customized programs for the utilities industry for over 40 years and also offers a wide range of training services designed to help students succeed in their careers.
